PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's match winner market contains a logical contradiction where both possible outcomes (Boost Defenders win OR Speen Ghar Tigers win) are stated to resolve to Yes, making the market fundamentally unresolvable. Polymarket's match winner market is logically sound and resolves to the actual winner.Hero tip: Do not trade the Kalshi match winner market - it is logically broken and will likely face settlement disputes. Use Polymarket's match winner market as the reliable reference. The toss winner and match completion markets are consistent and safe to trade on both platforms.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Match winner market states both teams resolve to Yes: 'If Boost Defenders wins...resolves to Yes' and 'If Speen Ghar Tigers wins...resolves to Yes'. This creates a logical impossibility where the market cannot distinguish between outcomes.
  • Polymarket: Match winner resolves to the actual winner with clear protocols: 'This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by ESPNCricinfo.' Includes explicit handling of ties (50-50 if no tiebreak available), DLS/DRS rulings (count as ordinary wins), and cancellations (50-50 resolution).
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between Boost Defenders and Speen Ghar Tigers scheduled for July 9 2026 in Shpageeza Cricket League. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Kalshi

Resolution is based on the official result declared by the governing body for the Test International match. If the match concludes with a decisive winner, the market resolves to Yes for that team. If the match ends in a tie, draw, no result, abandonment, or cancellation with no official winner declared, all markets resolve to $0.50. Forfeits, disqualifications, or concessions occurring before the match begins result in $0.50 resolution; if they occur after play has begun and an official winner is declared, the market resolves based on that result. If play commences but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in margin, while prediction markets reflect pure trader belief through continuous price discovery. This market's odds may diverge from sportsbook lines because prediction traders have different risk appetites, information access, and time horizons. Comparing both sources can reveal mispricings and sharpen your edge.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures. Kalshi and Polymarket may also use distinct contract designs or settlement timing, causing temporary price gaps. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these spreads, but differences can persist if one platform has deeper liquidity or if traders hold stronger convictions on one side. Monitoring both helps you understand where consensus is strongest.

Key catalysts include team roster announcements, recent form and head-to-head records, weather forecasts on match day, and any injury updates or tactical changes. Betting syndicate activity and sharp money flows on other platforms can also shift prices quickly. Social media sentiment and expert commentary may influence retail traders. Monitor official league communications and team social channels for breaking news that could reshape implied probabilities before the match kicks off.
