Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. For this market, prediction odds may price certain scorelines differently than major sportsbooks, particularly for less-common outcomes. Comparing the two can reveal which exact scores the crowd views as undervalued or overvalued relative to professional oddsmakers, offering a useful cross-check for your own analysis.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders buy and sell shares in each exact-score outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each scoreline contract trades independently, so you can back any final result from 0–0 through high-scoring draws or wins. The price of each outcome reflects the collective confidence of all traders; as new information emerges or match conditions change, prices update in real time to reflect shifting expectations.
This market resolves around Aug 2, 2026, once the Shenzhen vs. Chongqing match concludes and the final scoreline is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each team at the end of regular time. No adjustments are made for extra time or penalty shootouts unless the competition format explicitly requires them. Resolution occurs automatically once the final score is confirmed and reported by official match records.
Team news—injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter odds for specific scorelines. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader expectations. Major betting syndicates or sharp money flowing into particular outcomes can trigger rapid repricing across the board. As the match approaches, odds typically tighten and become more volatile. During the game itself, live score updates will drive sharp moves in real time, with early goals or red cards reshaping the probability of each final result.
