In the upcoming Premier Division (Ireland) game between Shelbourne FC and Derry City FC, scheduled for September 11, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Shelbourne FC vs. Derry City FC match originally scheduled for September 11, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the probability of each exact score. If a significant number of traders believe a particular outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price in this market will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the collective intelligence of market participants. It's useful to compare both to get a broader perspective.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market's implied probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices fluctuate based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market is entirely driven by trader sentiment and the flow of funds, with prices adjusting dynamically to reflect the latest information and predictions. Higher volume generally indicates greater confidence in a particular outcome, influencing the price movements.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Shelbourne FC vs. Derry City FC match—the exact score—will be used to determine which shares pay out. Resolution relies on publicly available, authoritative sources to verify the final scoreline. Traders will be able to see the resolution details on Polymarket once the event has concluded and the result is confirmed. The process is designed to be transparent and based on objective data.
Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in player lineups, or tactical adjustments could shift trader sentiment. Weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators, could also play a role. Unexpected events during the match itself, such as red cards or early goals, would likely cause significant price fluctuations. Essentially, any information that alters the perceived probability of a specific exact score has the potential to move this market.
