Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows traders to continuously adjust probabilities based on available information. If sportsbook odds suggest a clear favorite, but this market shows a more even distribution of probability, it could indicate disagreement with the sportsbook's assessment or access to different information. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded view of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated to reflect the latest information and collective intelligence of the traders participating.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in playing conditions, or updates on team strategies could all cause shifts in trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to the event, or even significant weather forecasts impacting play, could also move the market. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed traders could signal new information entering the market and cause a rapid price adjustment.
