Often, prediction market odds diverge from traditional sportsbook odds due to differing participant information and incentives. Sportsbooks typically set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those found on Polymarket, it might indicate disagreement about the likely referee assignment or differing assessments of the potential impact on the game. It's important to consider both sources when forming an informed opinion.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price adjusts dynamically based on supply and demand, meaning that increased buying pressure will raise the price, while increased selling pressure will lower it. This creates a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each referee being assigned to the match.

This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official referee assignment for the match between Carlos Sanchez Jover and Sergi Fita Juan is verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will settle to 100% probability for the referee who is officially assigned to the game by La Liga officials. Any changes or announcements made after the official assignment will not affect the resolution of this market.

Several signals could influence trading activity in this market. News reports regarding potential referee injuries or suspensions could significantly shift probabilities. Official announcements from La Liga regarding referee assignments, even preliminary ones, would likely cause substantial price movement. Unexpected changes in team form or key player availability might also indirectly affect perceptions of referee fairness or bias, impacting trading volume and price. Monitoring these factors could provide insights into potential shifts in this market before Sep 13, 2026.
