Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are priced by traders competing to forecast the actual outcome. This market aggregates trader beliefs about card distribution between the two teams, which may differ from a sportsbook's opening line. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees edge, though sportsbook odds remain a useful benchmark for understanding conventional market expectations.
On Limitless, traders set prices through continuous order matching, with each contract reflecting the probability that Senegal will receive more cards than Belgium. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see represents the marginal trader's belief, updated in real time as new information arrives and positions shift. Higher prices indicate stronger trader conviction that Senegal will accumulate more cards; lower prices suggest the opposite. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices adjust to breaking news or match developments.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the Senegal versus Belgium match concludes and the final card count is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the total number of yellow and red cards issued to each team during the match. Whichever team receives more cards triggers a payout to holders of the corresponding position. Resolution occurs after official match records are confirmed and any post-match disciplinary reviews are finalized.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—such as key player injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—often triggers repricing, as does referee assignment and historical card data for both sides. Tactical announcements favoring aggressive or defensive play can influence expectations. During the match itself, early cards, player ejections, and referee tendencies will drive real-time trading. Pre-match analysis from sports media and expert predictions may also sway trader positioning as new information emerges.
