Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders who have real money at stake on outcomes. For this market, comparing the current odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether traders see value the books may have missed. Prediction markets tend to be efficient at pricing events with clear, verifiable outcomes, making them a useful benchmark for assessing consensus expectations.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell shares tied to specific outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the current bid-ask spread reflects the market's confidence and liquidity at any moment. As new information emerges—injury reports, weather updates, or betting action—traders adjust their positions, moving prices in real time. The platform's transparent pricing mechanism allows you to see exactly what other participants are willing to pay or accept.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the first three innings of the game are complete and the outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the specific event or statistic the market is tracking—such as total runs, a particular team's performance, or individual player milestones during that window. Once the game concludes and official data is confirmed, the market settles and traders receive payouts based on their positions. Check the market details page for the exact outcome definition.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the game begins and during the first three innings. Pre-game announcements—such as lineup changes, starting pitcher confirmation, or injury updates—often trigger sharp price moves. Weather conditions, betting action from sharp bettors, and real-time game developments (runs scored, errors, or key plays) will drive continuous repricing as the innings unfold. Social media sentiment and expert commentary can also influence trader positioning. Monitor sports news and live game updates to stay ahead of market-moving information.
