This market determines which team leads after the first five innings of the Seattle vs Pittsburgh game on June 23, 2026. Bettors can wager on Seattle winning, Pittsburgh winning, or the teams being tied after five complete innings.
Resolution is determined by the score at the end of the fifth inning of the game originally scheduled for June 23, 2026 at 6:40 PM EDT. If Seattle has more runs, the Seattle outcome resolves to Yes and all other outcomes resolve to No. If Pittsburgh has more runs, the Pittsburgh outcome resolves to Yes and all other outcomes resolve to No. If the score is tied, the Tie outcome resolves to Yes and both team outcomes resolve to No. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and resolves after the rescheduled game concludes, within two days of the original scheduled date.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders seeking to profit from accurate forecasting. This market aggregates the collective intelligence of many independent traders rather than relying on a single operator's model. Over time, prediction markets tend to incorporate new information quickly, sometimes pricing outcomes differently than traditional sportsbooks, especially as game time approaches and more data becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The contract price reflects the equilibrium between supply and demand at any given moment. Traders can place limit orders to buy or sell at their desired price, or execute market orders for immediate fills at the current best bid or ask. As new information emerges—such as injury reports or weather updates—the price adjusts dynamically to reflect changing expectations about the first 5 innings outcome.
This market resolves around Jun 24, 2026, once the Seattle vs Pittsburgh game concludes and the first 5 innings result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the actual score and events that occur during the first five innings of play. Resolution happens automatically once the data is confirmed, allowing traders to settle their positions. Participants should monitor official MLB sources and game broadcasts to track developments that may influence their positions as the event approaches.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before resolution. Lineup announcements, starting pitcher confirmations, and last-minute roster changes often trigger significant moves. Weather conditions at the stadium—wind speed, temperature, and precipitation—affect scoring potential in the first 5 innings. Injury reports or player availability updates can alter team composition and performance expectations. Recent team form, head-to-head matchup history, and any breaking news about player health or team strategy will influence trader sentiment and drive price adjustments as game time approaches.
