Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms agree on the core resolution logic: the first team to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time determines the outcome, with "Neither" resolving if no goals are scored.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with credible reporting as a fallback if official data is delayed

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves to the team that scores first within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time
  • If neither team scores within this timeframe, the market resolves to "Neither"
  • Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded from consideration
  • Postponements delay resolution until the match is completed; cancellations with no make-up game resolve to "Neither"

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: If the match is postponed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match is completed and the first goal is determined
  • Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, the market resolves to "Neither"
  • Delayed Official Statistics: If official statistics are not published within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead
Timing: Resolution occurs after the match concludes, based on official statistics or credible reporting if official data is delayedOur PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket and Kalshi, the first goal scorer market dashboard aggregates real-time probabilities and volume across platforms. It shows how traders on each venue price the likelihood of each team scoring first in the upcoming match. The view consolidates data from multiple prediction markets, offering a consensus snapshot of expectations for who will net the opening goal. This helps users compare sentiment and spot potential value before the whistle blows.

Prediction market odds on this market often reflect sharper, community-driven insights compared to traditional sportsbook lines. While sportsbooks incorporate broader public betting patterns and adjusted margins, prediction markets let traders bet directly on their own assessments of team form, player fitness, and tactical matchups. Because of this, implied probabilities can diverge — especially when key players are suspended or weather conditions change. Monitoring both sides gives a fuller picture of where smart money is placed.

Injuries to key attackers, weather delays, or tactical shifts announced by coaches can all shift this market. Strong pre-match media narratives about a star player’s form, or a sudden coaching change, may also sway trader sentiment. Keep an eye on official team lineups released before kickoff — surprises there often create rapid price adjustments. Any development that alters the perceived likelihood of an early goal will push probabilities on both platforms.
