This market tracks the outcome of a Major League Cricket men's professional match between the Seattle Orcas and Los Angeles Knight Riders. On Kalshi, the Seattle Orcas are favored to win at 89.0%, while the Los Angeles Knight Riders stand at 13.0%. The market resolves based on official Major League Cricket league rules and governing body declarations. Watch for the match scheduled for June 21, 2026 at 4:30 PM EDT, as the result on that date will determine the final resolution.
Resolution depends on the official outcome declared by the governing body. If either team wins, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. Ties, draws, no results, abandonments, or cancellations where no official winner is declared result in a $0.50 resolution. Forfeits, disqualifications, or concessions occurring before the match begins also resolve to $0.50; if they occur after play has begun and an official winner is declared, resolution follows that result. If play commences but insufficient play occurs to determine an official result, all markets resolve to $0.50.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader belief and capital allocation. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants willing to stake real money on their conviction. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where professional oddsmakers and decentralized traders disagree, sometimes highlighting value or consensus gaps worth monitoring.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks, and the last executed trade sets the current mid-price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices range from 0 to 100, representing the implied probability of each outcome. As new trades execute, the price updates in real time, reflecting the latest consensus. Traders can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the spread between bid and ask reflects the market's liquidity and conviction at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning outcome will be determined by the final result of the matchup, verified against established sports news sources and official league records. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell positions as new information and game developments influence their expectations. Once the event concludes and the result is confirmed, the market will settle and traders' positions will be finalized.
Key catalysts for this market include team roster updates, injury announcements, recent performance trends, and head-to-head historical records. Pre-game analysis from respected sports analysts and betting syndicates often triggers repricing as new insights reach traders. Weather conditions, home-field advantage factors, and late-breaking lineup changes can shift implied probabilities significantly in the hours before kickoff. Trading volume typically spikes as the event approaches, and any surprise news—trades, coaching decisions, or player status updates—may cause sharp price swings as participants reassess their positions.
