Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, which naturally creates price variation. Polymarket and Predict may also have different user bases with varying risk appetites or information access. Additionally, one platform might see larger recent volume spikes or strategic positioning that temporarily moves odds away from the other. These gaps typically narrow as arbitrageurs exploit them, but they can persist if one venue has thinner liquidity or if traders on each platform weight available information differently.
Starting lineups and bullpen availability are critical early signals—a surprise roster change or injury to a key pitcher can shift odds significantly. Weather conditions at game time, including wind direction and temperature, affect ball carry and scoring potential. Early game momentum, such as a quick run or defensive miscue in the first inning, often triggers sharp repricing. Additionally, any breaking news about player health or last-minute tactical adjustments closer to first pitch will likely drive volume and volatility in this market.
