Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi use identical resolution logic based on the final score of the match after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with all markets resolving according to official CBF statistics or credible reporting consensus.
Primary resolution logic:
Official final score published on cbf.com.br (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol); secondary source is consensus of credible reporting if CBF does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
All markets resolve based on the final score after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only (no extra time or penalties).
Spread markets resolve YES if the specified team wins by the stated margin or greater (e.g., Corinthians -1.5 resolves YES if Corinthians wins by 2+ goals).
Over/Under markets resolve YES if combined goals meet or exceed the threshold (e.g., O/U 2.5 resolves YES if 3+ total goals scored).
Both Teams to Score resolves YES if each team scores at least one goal; resolves NO if either team scores zero.
If the match is postponed, markets remain open until completion; if canceled with no makeup, all markets resolve 50-50.
If the match starts but is not completed, resolution uses the official final score published by CBF.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is completed and the final score is official.
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no makeup game scheduled, all markets in the group resolve 50-50.
Incomplete Match: If the match begins but is not completed (e.g., abandoned), resolution uses the official final score as published by CBF, not the score at the time of abandonment.
Resolution Source Delay: If CBF does not publish official final match statistics within 2 hours after the match conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting sources may be used as the resolution basis.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon publication of the official final score by CBF or, if delayed beyond 2 hours, upon consensus of credible reporting. Markets remain open if the match is postponed and close only after the match is completed and the score is official.
