This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The first goal scorer is determined throughout the entire match including regulation, stoppage time, and any extra time periods. If the first goal is an own goal, the market resolves based on the team awarded the goal. This product has not been endorsed by FIFA.
Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi often reflect sharper, crowd-sourced probabilities than traditional sportsbooks because traders risk real capital and face direct counterparties. Sportsbooks build in margins and adjust odds to balance liability; prediction markets price based on aggregated belief. For the Saudi Arabia vs. Uruguay first-goal outcome, prediction market odds may move faster in response to team news, injury updates, or lineup changes. Comparing the two reveals whether bookmakers are pricing in information the prediction market has already digested, or vice versa, helping identify value opportunities.
Key catalysts include confirmed team lineups and starting formations, which affect attacking threat and defensive stability. Injury announcements to key forwards or defensive players will shift first-goal probabilities significantly. Pre-match analysis, expert predictions, and betting syndicate positioning often move odds in the days before kickoff. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and head-to-head historical patterns can influence trader conviction. Live market sentiment and sharp money flows on Polymarket and Kalshi will react to all available information, so monitoring both platforms in real time is essential for capturing edge before the match begins.
