Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to build in a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by traders’ willingness to buy or sell shares. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can express that belief by driving up the price in this market. This can lead to discrepancies, offering potential arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about which team will score first, and the price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand. As more traders bet on a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price of a share represents the market's collective assessment of the likelihood of that team scoring first in the Sariyer vs. Bandirmaspor match.

This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team that scores the first goal in the Sariyer vs. Bandirmaspor match will be declared the winner of this market. The resolution will be based on official match data and will be determined by the official match result as reported by a trusted sports data provider. Any disputes will be handled according to the platform’s standard procedures.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Late-breaking news regarding player injuries or suspensions for either Sariyer SK or Bandirmaspor would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also impact the odds. Even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators or unexpected lineup announcements could shift trader sentiment and lead to price fluctuations in this market.
