The match outcome is evaluated in three possible states: a win for Sarasota Paradise, a win for Miami, or a tie. If the match ends in a tie, the designated Tie market resolves to Yes. Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and attract different trader types. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and generate profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by supply and demand from traders seeking to profit on their forecasts. Prediction markets typically reflect longer-term conviction and can be more efficient at pricing uncertain outcomes, especially when the event is weeks or months away. Comparing the two can reveal whether one venue undervalues or overvalues a particular outcome relative to the other.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief in that outcome's probability, ranging from near-zero to nearly 100 cents. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their orders, and the price adjusts in real time. This mechanism ensures that the market price stays aligned with the latest available information and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, at which point the outcome will be confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout, while those on the losing side will receive nothing. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective facts about the matchup result. Until that date, prices will continue to fluctuate based on new developments, team news, and shifting trader expectations.
Key catalysts include player injuries, roster changes, recent team performance, head-to-head records, and any public statements from coaches or analysts. Weather conditions closer to game day, betting line movements at major sportsbooks, and shifts in public sentiment on social media can also influence trader behavior. Major upsets or surprising results in related competitions may cause traders to reassess their forecasts. As the event date approaches, late-breaking news and final injury reports typically trigger sharp price movements in this market.
