This market tracks the outcome of the second set in the professional tennis match between Sara Bejlek and Laura Siegemund at the 2026 WTA Eastbourne tournament. One of the two players will win set 2, and the market resolves based on who prevails in that specific set.
The market resolves to Yes for whichever player wins set 2 in the match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates trader conviction through continuous price discovery, which can reveal edges that traditional sportsbooks miss. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can highlight where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective assessment of that outcome's probability, ranging from $0 to $1. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their bids and offers, moving the price up or down. This continuous price discovery process ensures the market stays responsive to real-time developments in the match.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, once the second set of the match concludes and the winner is confirmed. The outcome will be verified against credible public sources to ensure accuracy. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell contracts based on their expectations. Resolution occurs automatically once the event result is finalized and reported through established sports data channels.
Several factors could shift prices in this market before resolution. Player form and recent match results leading up to the event will influence trader positioning. Injury reports, weather conditions, or court surface changes could alter perceived advantages. Head-to-head history and momentum from the first set, if available, may trigger significant repricing. News about either player's fitness, mental state, or recent performance patterns typically generates trading activity as participants reassess their probability estimates.
