Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—can shift trader sentiment significantly before kickoff. Weather conditions, recent form, and head-to-head history may also influence how traders price the second half outcome. Once the match begins, first-half events like early goals, red cards, or momentum swings often trigger repricing as traders update their expectations for what unfolds after halftime. Live betting activity during the first half can also signal where sharp money expects the second half to go.
