The outcome depends on the number of times each team sacks the opposing quarterback during a football game. Sacks are counted when a quarterback is tackled behind the line of scrimmage before throwing the ball. The markets resolve based on whether specific teams reach certain sack thresholds.
These markets resolve based on the total number of sacks recorded by either Los Angeles R or San Francisco in their Pro Football game scheduled for September 10, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific sack threshold (2+, 3+, 4+, 5+, or 6+) for each team. Sacks recorded during a 2-point conversion attempt are excluded from the count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original start time, it will proceed as scheduled and resolve based on the official result. If the game fails to start within this 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect information beyond what is captured in traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and risk assessment, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome, the odds here will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see differences emerge as new information becomes available or as public opinion shifts, potentially offering opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the latest information and sentiment. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a highly liquid and efficient market, where prices can quickly respond to new developments and insights related to the NFL season.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total number of sacks recorded by each team during the specified NFL season will be used to determine the winning outcome. The final result will be based on official NFL statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective resolution process. Traders will be able to view the verified outcome on Kalshi following the completion of the season.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Key player injuries to offensive linemen or pass rushers on either team would be a major catalyst. Changes in coaching strategies that emphasize pass rushing or protecting the quarterback could also shift the odds. Unexpected team performance during the season, particularly in games against common opponents, will also be closely watched. Finally, any news regarding rule changes that impact pass protection or defensive schemes could move this market as traders react to the potential implications.
