These markets track which player will gain the most rushing yards in an upcoming football game between two teams. Each market focuses on a specific player, with outcomes determined by their performance relative to all other participants in the game.
Each market resolves based on whether the specified player records the most rushing yards in the game. If the player does not participate, the market resolves to No. In the event of a tie for the highest rushing yards among multiple players, the payout is divided equally among all tied outcomes, with each holder receiving $1 minus the Yes payout. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original schedule, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which can be influenced by factors like public perception or early betting action. Sportsbooks may also adjust their odds more slowly than Kalshi, where prices change rapidly based on every trade. While sportsbooks set odds to ensure profit, this market allows participants to directly express their beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as an event approaches, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than traditional odds.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether San Francisco or Los Angeles will have the most rushing yards. As more people buy a contract, its price increases, indicating growing confidence in that outcome. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring, scaled to a value between 0 and 100. The market dynamically adjusts to new information and trader sentiment, providing a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team with the most rushing yards in the San Francisco versus Los Angeles game will determine the winning outcome. Official NFL statistics will be used to verify the final rushing yard totals for each team. The resolution will reflect the official game results as reported by the NFL, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Injury reports for key running backs on either team would be a significant catalyst, as would any changes to the projected weather conditions for the game. Unexpected news regarding coaching strategies or offensive line changes could also shift expectations. Furthermore, any late-breaking news about player availability or performance could lead to substantial price movements. Monitoring these signals and their potential impact on rushing yardage is crucial for understanding how this market might evolve.
