This market tracks whether Corbin Carroll accumulates at least 2 total bases in the San Francisco vs Arizona baseball game on June 29, 2026. Total bases are calculated by counting singles as 1 base, doubles as 2 bases, triples as 3 bases, and home runs as 4 bases.
Settlement is contingent on Corbin Carroll's participation status and plate appearances. If Carroll is scratched or not in the starting lineup, the market resolves to fair market price. If he starts but records no plate appearances, it also resolves to fair market price. Pinch-hit at-bats do not count toward this market. Only if Carroll is in the starting lineup and records at least one plate appearance will the market settle based on actual total bases accumulated during the game.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. Traders in this market may incorporate sharper analysis or react faster to breaking news than traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though each reflects legitimate market pricing from its respective venue.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative supply and demand from all active traders, with the bid-ask spread showing the current consensus range. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices adjust in real time. Your entry and exit prices depend on the liquidity available at the moment you trade, and larger orders may move the market more than smaller ones.
This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the game concludes and the final result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by the total bases recorded across both teams during the contest. Resolution occurs after official statistics are confirmed, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices may fluctuate based on live game developments, injury reports, and other factors that influence expectations for the final tally.
Several catalysts can shift prices in this market before it resolves. Lineup announcements, starting pitcher confirmations, and injury updates for key hitters will influence expectations for offensive output. Weather conditions at game time—wind direction and speed, temperature—can significantly affect how far balls travel. Real-time game developments, such as early scoring or momentum swings, will also drive trading activity. Additionally, any changes to ballpark conditions or umpire assignments may subtly alter the calculus for total bases, prompting traders to adjust their positions accordingly.
