San Francisco Unicorns and Washington Freedom will compete in a Major League Cricket match on July 4, 2026. These markets track whether each team will exceed specific run thresholds during their innings in this matchup.
Resolution is based on actual runs scored by each team during the match as originally scheduled for July 4, 2026 at 5:30 PM EDT. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS), markets resolve to fair market price except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. If the match is shortened but an official result is declared via DLS or another ICC-approved method, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only, without projections or adjustments.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders who profit or lose based on accuracy. This market may price outcomes differently than major sportsbooks, especially as new information emerges closer to game time. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value opportunities.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing different run-total outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective willingness of buyers and sellers to trade at that level, updating in real time as new orders flow in. Tighter spreads indicate higher confidence and liquidity, while wider spreads suggest less agreement or trading activity among participants.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the game concludes and final run totals are verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the combined runs scored by both teams during regulation play. Resolution occurs after official box scores are published and confirmed, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.
Key catalysts include roster updates, injury reports, recent team performance trends, and weather forecasts on game day. Lineup announcements and bullpen availability can significantly shift run-scoring expectations. As the game approaches, any breaking news about player availability or field conditions may trigger sharp price movements. Live updates during the contest itself will also influence late trading, especially if early innings suggest unexpectedly high or low scoring patterns.
