Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and attract different participant bases. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader belief and capital allocation. Over time, prediction markets have shown accuracy in pricing uncertain events because participants risk real money on their convictions. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the two venues disagree, signaling potential value or consensus breakdowns.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks, and the last executed trade sets the current price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price represents the collective belief of all active traders about the likelihood of the outcome, updated in real time as new trades occur. Shares typically trade between 0 and 100 cents, with the midpoint between buy and sell orders reflecting the market's fair-value estimate at any moment.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the final score and official match records from recognized sports authorities. Until that date, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information and team performance data emerge, allowing positions to shift right up until resolution.
Key catalysts include team roster changes, injury announcements, recent form and head-to-head records, and any public statements from coaches or players about strategy. Weather conditions on match day, home-field advantage factors, and betting line movements from major sportsbooks can also influence trader sentiment. As the event date approaches, media coverage and expert analysis often intensify, potentially shifting the market's probability estimate. Live updates during the match itself will drive final price adjustments before settlement.
