The San Francisco Unicorns compete against the Seattle Orcas in a Major League Cricket match on July 11, 2026 at 8:30 PM EDT. This event tracks the total runs scored by each team during the match.
Resolution is based on actual runs recorded during the match. If the match is cancelled before play begins, all markets resolve to fair market price. If play starts but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price except for statistics already definitively achieved, which resolve on recorded results. For shortened matches with an official result declared via DLS or other ICC-approved methods, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded statistics only without projections or adjustments. If the match is delayed more than 48 hours from its originally scheduled start time, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect aggregate trader belief—each participant risks real capital on their forecast. This market aggregates the views of many independent traders, often surfacing consensus faster than traditional oddsmakers. Comparing the two can reveal where public opinion diverges from professional sports betting lines, though both ultimately aim to forecast the same outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each run-total outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective confidence of market participants; higher prices indicate stronger belief in that outcome occurring. As new information surfaces or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, and prices move accordingly. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to changing conditions right up until resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 12, 2026, once the game concludes and the final run total is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the combined runs scored by both teams across all innings played. No partial or adjusted figures are used; only the official final box score counts. Once the result is confirmed and recorded, this market settles automatically based on which outcome bracket the actual run total falls into.
Key catalysts include lineup announcements, injury reports, weather forecasts, and recent team performance trends. Starting pitcher matchups carry particular weight, as pitching strength directly influences run production. Betting market shifts at sportsbooks can also signal new information reaching the broader sports community. Late-breaking roster changes, ballpark conditions, or historical head-to-head scoring patterns may prompt traders to reassess their positions. Monitor sports news outlets and team social media in the days leading up to game time for developments that could shift this market meaningfully.
