On Polymarket and Predict, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more casual fans, skewing its odds, while the other could see heavier participation from analytical traders. Additionally, each venue sets its own fee structure and update intervals, which influences how quickly prices adjust to new information like pitcher changes or weather updates.
Injuries, weather delays, and last-minute lineup changes often shift this market. Key starters being scratched or rain forecasts can swing probabilities quickly. Also, early in-game events — such as a dominant first-inning performance — may cause rapid adjustments on both Polymarket and Predict as traders react to live scoring and pitching effectiveness.
