The event resolves based on the result of the San Antonio vs Oakland Roots SC professional USL Championship soccer match originally scheduled for August 22, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time (excluding extra time or penalty kicks). Three distinct outcomes are possible: a win for San Antonio, a win for Oakland Roots SC, or a tie. If the match ends in a tie after regulation time, the 'Tie' outcome will resolve positively. Should the game be cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, the markets will be resolved at a fair price as determined by the platform rules. The resolution strictly considers the result within regulation time, with no account for post-regulation proceedings such as extra time or penalty shootouts.
Prediction market odds on this market reflect what traders are willing to pay now, incorporating all available information and betting patterns. They can diverge from sportsbook odds because prediction markets update continuously and are driven by a different participant base. For example, a scoreline might appear less likely on sportsbooks but gain traction here if new data emerges, creating potential value gaps for sharp traders.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions affecting the game, and tactical changes announced by coaches can all shift this market. High-impact moments like red cards or early goals often cause rapid re-pricing, especially on platforms with thinner order books. Traders will also watch for any last-minute lineup announcements or stadium disruptions that could influence the likely scoreline.
