This market tracks the outcome of a professional baseball game between two teams competing in a recognized league. The result depends solely on which team secures a victory in the scheduled match. If neither team wins outright, the market reflects a divided outcome.
The market resolves based on the result of the Samsung Lions vs Lotte Giants Korea KBO game originally scheduled for September 20, 2026, at 1:00 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed but played within two days of the original date, the market will close after the conclusion of the rescheduled game. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than two days after the original date, the market will resolve to a fair price. If the game ends in a tie, the market will resolve at a 50/50 split. The market remains open until the game’s final outcome is determined, with no affiliation to the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to differing information and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to express their own probabilities. As more information becomes available – such as team news or weather forecasts – the odds on Kalshi may converge or diverge from those offered by sportsbooks. It's common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new developments than traditional betting markets, potentially offering different value.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. As traders place orders, the prices adjust to find an equilibrium. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means that the price is determined solely by supply and demand within Kalshi, and isn't influenced by external factors or other venues. The current price indicates what it costs to take a position on a particular result.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Samsung Lions versus Lotte Giants game. Specifically, the market will determine which team won the game. The outcome will be determined by publicly available game results, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or account for any losses based on the final result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or starting pitcher changes for either the Samsung Lions or the Lotte Giants would likely cause price movement. Weather conditions at the game location are also a potential catalyst, as they can impact scoring and overall game dynamics. Unexpected lineup announcements or even significant pre-game media reports could also shift the odds. Monitoring these signals will be crucial for anyone looking to trade in this market up until the Sep 20, 2026 resolution.
