Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen here, it could indicate disagreement about the likely winner or the perceived value of each outcome. It’s important to note that prediction markets can sometimes offer more accurate forecasts, particularly when a large and informed group participates.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome.
