PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's markets resolve YES for both possible game outcomes (Colorado State wins OR Saint Joseph's wins), creating a logical contradiction where the market cannot fail to resolve YES. Polymarket correctly structures mutually exclusive outcomes where exactly one team wins. This makes Kalshi's markets fundamentally unresolvable as stated.Hero tip: Do not trade Kalshi's moneyline market (items 1-2). The resolution logic guarantees YES regardless of outcome, making it a certain win with no real risk — a data integrity failure. Polymarket's moneyline (item 1-2 equivalent) and all spread/total markets are logically sound and tradeable.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's moneyline market resolves YES if Colorado State wins AND resolves YES if Saint Joseph's wins, violating basic logical exclusivity. Quote: 'If Colorado St. wins... then the market resolves to Yes' AND 'If Saint Joseph's wins... then the market resolves to Yes.' This creates a tautology where the market cannot resolve NO.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with sound resolution logic: Polymarket's moneyline market resolves to exactly one of two mutually exclusive outcomes — 'Saint Joseph's Hawks' if Saint Joseph's wins, or 'Colorado State Rams' if Colorado State wins. Quote: 'If the Saint Joseph's Hawks win, the market will resolve to Saint Joseph's Hawks. If the Colorado State Rams win, the market will resolve to Colorado State Rams.' All spread and total markets follow standard, logically consistent thresholds.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.
