This set of markets tracks the margin of victory for UMass in their college football game against Sacred Heart. Each market corresponds to a specific point differential threshold that UMass must exceed to settle the contract.
All markets resolve based on the official point differential from the Sacred Heart vs UMass college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If UMass wins by more than the specified point margin in the relevant market, that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For any game postponement, if the game commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a margin for profit, while this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If there's a significant discrepancy, it may suggest that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular result. It’s common to see prediction markets move more efficiently than sportsbook odds, especially as more information emerges closer to the event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their predictions on the spread. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy 'yes' contracts (believing the spread will be as predicted), the price increases, and vice versa for 'no' contracts. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly adjusting to new information and sentiment. The current price represents the market’s best estimate of the outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final spread is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Sacred Heart vs UMass game as reported by a trusted sports data source. The market will determine whether the actual spread landed over or under the line established when the market was created. All contracts will then be settled based on this verified outcome, and traders will receive or pay out funds accordingly.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game takes place. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Sacred Heart or UMass teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to affect the game’s conditions, could also shift the market. Public betting patterns and analysis from sports analysts could also contribute to price movements, as traders react to new information and adjust their predictions. Unexpected announcements related to team strategy or coaching decisions could also move this market.
