These markets track how many points each team scores in a college football game between Sacramento State and Fresno State. Each market corresponds to a specific point threshold for one team, determining whether they exceed that threshold during the game.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals of Fresno State and Sacramento State in their college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores more than the stated threshold points, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point thresholds.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those initially set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, they can take a position in this market, driving the odds closer to their collective assessment. This dynamic can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different team total outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s probability assessment of that outcome occurring. Traders set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market clears at the best available prices. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a particular team total is likely, the higher the price of the corresponding contract will rise, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic pricing mechanism driven by supply and demand.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final team totals for both Sacramento St. and Fresno St. will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will then determine which contracts correspond to the actual team totals achieved during the game. The resolution process is designed to be objective and based on publicly available data, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. News regarding key player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or even weather forecasts could all impact traders’ perceptions of the likely team totals. Unexpected performance in prior games, or significant shifts in public sentiment, could also lead to adjustments in the odds. Any information that alters the perceived probability of either team exceeding or falling short of a particular total has the potential to move this market significantly before it resolves.
