Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets are driven purely by trader supply and demand. In this market, the odds you see represent what thousands of independent traders believe will happen in the second half, without a bookmaker's built-in edge. Over time, prediction markets have proven competitive with or more accurate than traditional sportsbook lines, especially when traders have strong information or when the event is highly liquid.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 100 cents, reflecting the probability traders assign to it. As more traders buy shares in a particular result, its price rises; as they sell, it falls. This continuous repricing ensures the market stays efficient and responsive to new information right up until the event concludes.
This market resolves around Jul 21, 2026, once the second-half result of the match is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect what actually occurred during the second half of play—whether one team won, the teams drew, or another specified result took place. Resolution happens automatically after the event concludes and the result is confirmed, at which point traders' positions settle according to the final outcome.
Several factors could shift trader positioning before this market closes. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—often triggers repricing. Early first-half momentum or scoreline can influence expectations for the second half, as traders adjust their bets based on how the match unfolds. Weather conditions, referee assignments, or late-breaking information about player availability may also prompt order flow. Real-time match events during the first half will likely be the strongest catalyst, as traders react to live performance and adjust their second-half forecasts accordingly.
