The market resolves to Yes if any of the following songs achieves the #2 position on Spotify's Daily Top Songs USA chart for the chart dated June 21, 2026: stupid song, Choosin' Texas, the cure, honeybee, drop dead, Earrings, hate that i made you love me, maggots for brains, expectations, my way, Janice STFU, u + me = <3, what's wrong with me, begged, or Be Her. Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-money trader bets rather than expert opinion alone. Traders in this market incorporate streaming trends, chart momentum, and cultural signals to price outcomes, sometimes moving faster than published forecasts. Comparing the implied probabilities here to music industry analysts' predictions can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus may be underestimating a song's chart trajectory.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible runner-up song outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share's price reflects the collective probability traders assign to that song finishing second. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions, and the bid-ask spread tightens as more volume flows in, making it easier to trade near fair value as the resolution date nears.
This market resolves around Jun 22, 2026, once Spotify's official USA chart for June 21, 2026 is published and verified. The outcome is determined by identifying which song holds the second position on that day's ranking. Resolution is confirmed against credible public sources to ensure accuracy, and all positions settle based on the verified chart data.
Major streaming surges, viral social-media moments, and radio promotion announcements can shift odds significantly in this market. Chart performance in the weeks leading up to June 21 will be closely watched, as will any surprise releases or collaborations from major artists. Industry events like award shows or festival lineups may also influence streaming patterns. Real-time chart data and listener engagement metrics will drive most price movement as traders adjust their positions based on emerging trends.
