Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the aggregated wisdom of active traders rather than set bookmaker margins. While sportsbooks may favor popular outcomes with lower implied probabilities, prediction markets can price long-shot scores more accurately when sharp traders identify value. The gap between the two can widen if Polymarket’s user base reacts faster to new team news or weather updates.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, traders manually set prices for each possible score through buying and selling shares, creating a decentralized market price. The top outcome’s current chance reflects the inverse of its share price, and liquidity can vary dramatically for less common scores. Volume of $794 and 24-hour volume of $784 show how engaged the trader community is, with spikes often tied to recent match previews or player announcements.
On Polymarket, this market resolves around Aug 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score will be determined by the final result of the Charleroi vs Mechelen match, as recorded by official league sources at the conclusion of regular time or added periods, excluding any post-match penalties or awards.
On Polymarket, trader sentiment and betting activity can shift this market as new information emerges. Key signals include injury updates or lineup changes for either team, weather conditions affecting play, and in-game momentum swings such as early goals or red cards. Media analysis, expert commentary, and shifting fan expectations also influence odds in the lead-up to kickoff and during the match.
