Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
All platforms resolve based on the official match outcome (win, loss, or draw) within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 25, 2026, with identical handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official EFL (English Football League) statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
The draw market (Polymarket) resolves YES if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise. If canceled with no make-up game, it resolves YES.
The Reading win market (Polymarket) resolves YES if Reading FC wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise. If canceled with no make-up game, it resolves NO.
The Rotherham win market (Polymarket) resolves YES if Rotherham United FC wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, NO otherwise. If canceled with no make-up game, it resolves NO.
The Kalshi markets resolve YES for any outcome (Tie, Rotherham win, or Reading win) that occurs after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, covering all three possible match results.
Exactly one outcome will occur: either Rotherham wins, Reading wins, or the match ends in a draw.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed and officially recorded.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, the Polymarket draw market resolves YES (treating cancellation as a non-decisive outcome), while the Polymarket win markets for both teams resolve NO. Kalshi markets do not explicitly address cancellation but would logically resolve NO if no match occurs.
Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is completed and the official result is recorded by the EFL.
Resolution Source Hierarchy: Primary resolution uses official EFL statistics. If official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as a fallback source.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official EFL announcement of the final match result within 90 minutes plus stoppage time, or upon credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed beyond 2 hours post-match.
