Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. Traders here have direct financial exposure to accuracy, which can surface information faster than bookmakers adjust their lines. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though both reflect genuine uncertainty about the second-half outcome.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probability estimates. Each outcome has a price between 0 and 1 (or 0–100 cents), and traders profit by buying low and selling high as new information arrives. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as volume increases, rewarding active traders who provide liquidity. Price discovery is continuous until the market closes, reflecting the latest consensus on the second-half result.

This market resolves around Jul 27, 2026, once the Rosenborg versus Fredrikstad match concludes and the second-half result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the official final score or result recorded for that half of play. Traders holding positions on the correct outcome receive their payout once the event is confirmed and the market settles automatically. Until that point, prices remain live and responsive to match developments.

Key catalysts include team lineups and injury announcements, which shape expectations for second-half performance. Early first-half momentum, tactical adjustments, and scoreline pressure all influence trader positioning before the break. Red cards, substitutions, or unexpected tactical shifts during play can trigger sharp repricing. Weather conditions, crowd energy, and historical head-to-head patterns may also sway sentiment. As kickoff approaches and live action unfolds, each development gives traders new information to reassess their odds, creating opportunities for price movement throughout the match.
