This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 64 match between Roman Safiullin and Botic Van de Zandschulp on July 1. The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 of the match.
The market resolves to the player who wins set 3 in the professional tennis match. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders betting real money on outcomes. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because participants have direct financial incentive to identify mispricings. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities for informed bettors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the most recent matched trade and the spread between current buy and sell orders. As traders adjust their positions based on match developments and new information, prices update in real time. Wider spreads typically indicate lower liquidity, while tighter spreads suggest active trading and higher confidence in the pricing.
This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, once the third set of the match concludes and the winner is verified. The outcome will be confirmed against credible public sources covering professional tennis results. Until that point, odds may shift based on live match action, player performance, and injury updates. Early resolution is possible if the match is abandoned or the set is decided by retirement, disqualification, or other official circumstances recognized by the governing tennis body.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before resolution. Live match performance—breaks of serve, momentum swings, and set-point situations—typically drives the largest intraday moves. Injury announcements or visible physical distress affecting either player can trigger sharp repricing. Weather delays or court conditions may also influence trading. Pre-match news like recent form, head-to-head records, or surface preference often moves this market before play begins. Trader sentiment and betting volume can amplify or dampen these moves depending on liquidity.
