PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket enforces strict match completion (NO on retirement/walkover), while Kalshi resolves YES on any advancement after a ball is played. This creates a logical fork for incomplete-match scenarios.Hero tip: If you believe the match may end via retirement or injury, Polymarket's completion market will resolve NO while Kalshi's advancement market will resolve YES. Choose your platform exposure based on injury risk. For standard completion scenarios, both platforms align.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Completion-focused logic: Match must be played to full completion through normal play. Walkover, retirement, default, or disqualification = NO. Head-to-head market treats walkover as 50-50. Key Quote: 'If a forfeit of any kind occurs, including but not limited to a walkover or retirement, this market will resolve No.'
  • Kalshi: Advancement-focused logic: Either player winning after a ball has been played = YES. No explicit handling of walkovers (pre-match withdrawals). Key Quote: 'If Viktorija Golubic wins the Udvardy vs Golubic professional tennis match...after a ball has been played, then the market resolves to Yes.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms.
