PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's Set 2 outcome market operates independently of match completion status, while Polymarket's Completed Match market requires full match completion through normal play only. Polymarket's Match Winner market allows advancement via retirement/default but Completed Match does not.Hero tip: The key trading risk: if the match is abandoned, retired, or forfeited after Set 2 is played, Kalshi Set 2 resolves Yes but Polymarket Completed Match resolves No. If you are long Kalshi Set 2, you win even if the match never finishes. If you are long Polymarket Completed Match, you lose in the same scenario. The Match Winner market is more permissive and will resolve to the advancing player in retirement/default cases. Align your position with the specific completion scenario you expect.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Set 2 outcome market. Resolves Yes if either player wins Set 2, with no requirement for match completion or determination of overall winner. Binary outcome on Set 2 only.
  • Polymarket - Completed Match: Requires all games and sets to be played to completion through normal play to resolve Yes. Forfeits, retirements, walkovers, and cancellations resolve to No. Does not credit advancement via default or retirement.
  • Polymarket - Match Winner: Resolves to the advancing player if match is completed normally OR if one player advances via retirement/default/disqualification. Walkovers and cancellations resolve 50-50.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market.
