Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment rather than bookmaker margins. Sportsbooks typically build in a vigorish or margin, whereas prediction markets price outcomes based purely on trader belief. For this junior doubles event, Polymarket odds may move faster in response to player news, recent form, or injury updates than sportsbooks adjust their lines. Comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbook offerings can reveal value opportunities. Prediction markets tend to be more efficient at incorporating niche information about junior players, making them a useful reference point alongside traditional betting venues.
