Prediction market odds on this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect crowd-sourced probabilities rather than set bookmaker adjustments. Traders on platforms like Polymarket and Limitless price outcomes based on their own research and sentiment, which can create sharper or more volatile lines. Sportsbook odds incorporate additional factors such as liability management and market-making margins, leading to variations in implied probabilities for the same match.
On Polymarket and Limitless, prices can diverge due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and trading activity. Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform’s unique pool of traders may have varying access to information or confidence levels about the teams, skewing probabilities. Additionally, volume disparities—$41 across all platforms versus $41 in a single 24-hour window—can amplify price swings, especially in lower-liquidity markets like this one.
