This market refers to the Rocket League Upper bracket quarterfinal 4 match between TSM and R8 Esports in the RLCS World Championship Play-In, initially scheduled for September 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "TSM" if TSM win the match against R8 Esports. This market will resolve to "R8 Esports" if R8 Esports win the match against TSM. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/rocketleague/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/rocketleague/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s odds are driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between this market and sportsbook odds, it may indicate differing opinions on the likelihood of either team winning. It’s important to consider both sources when forming your own assessment of the match.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe TSM will win, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will climb, and vice-versa for R8 Esports. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Rocket League: TSM vs R8 Esports best-of-five series within the RLCS World Championship Play-In. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the settlement of this market. Any potential disputes will be evaluated based on publicly available, official tournament data.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Unexpected news regarding player health or team roster changes for either TSM or R8 Esports would likely cause significant shifts. In-game performance during the series itself – for example, a dominant early victory by one team – could also rapidly alter trader sentiment. Analyst predictions and community discussions surrounding team strategies and potential matchups could also contribute to price fluctuations before the series concludes.
