This market tracks the outcome of the third set in the professional tennis match between Roberto Bautista Agut and Joao Fonseca at the 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128 on June 29. The winner of set 3 will determine the market resolution.
The market resolves based on which player wins set 3 in the Bautista Agut vs Fonseca match at 2026 Wimbledon Men's Singles Round of 128. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at fair market price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms and risk models. Sportsbooks set fixed odds designed to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one use dynamic pricing driven by trader supply and demand. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more efficient pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to identify mispricings. However, sportsbooks may occasionally offer better value on specific outcomes. Comparing both sources helps you identify which venue offers the most favorable odds for your view on this set winner.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders. As new information emerges—such as player form, court conditions, or match momentum—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift in real time. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit positions at your preferred price, and the market's depth determines how easily you can execute larger trades without significant slippage.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the third set of the match is completed and the winner is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official result reported by the tournament or match organizers. Until that time, you can continue trading your position as new developments unfold. Resolution occurs automatically once the event concludes and the data is confirmed, allowing all open positions to settle according to the final outcome.
Several factors could shift odds significantly before this market resolves. Player performance in earlier sets—particularly momentum, confidence, and physical condition—often influences third-set outcomes. Injury reports, weather conditions affecting play style, and recent head-to-head history between these competitors can all trigger repricing. Court surface and match pace also matter; some players excel in longer rallies while others prefer quick points. Breaking news about either player's form or fitness, combined with live match developments, will likely drive the most dramatic price movements as traders continuously reassess probabilities based on unfolding events.
