Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets allow traders to set prices through supply and demand. This market aggregates the collective judgment of many independent traders, which can sometimes identify value that sportsbooks miss. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees opportunity or where conventional oddsmakers may be undervaluing or overvaluing a particular outcome.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that allows traders to buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. The price of each share reflects the collective confidence of the trading community in that result. As traders place orders, the price adjusts dynamically to balance supply and demand. Higher prices indicate stronger market belief in an outcome, while lower prices suggest less conviction. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures that the odds remain responsive to new information and shifting trader sentiment right up until the event concludes.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the second half of the match is complete and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual score and result during the second half only, independent of what happened in the first half. Resolution occurs after official confirmation of the final second-half result, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders. Once confirmed, the market locks and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome shares.
Several factors could shift trader positioning before kickoff and during the match. Team news such as injury announcements, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments can significantly impact odds. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form updates may also influence how traders assess the likelihood of each outcome. Early match momentum, goals scored, red cards, or substitutions during the first half could prompt traders to reassess their views on how the second half will unfold. Real-time developments and emerging information typically drive the most notable price movements in this market.
