This event is for the WBB game between Richmond Spiders and Nebraska Cornhuskers on March 18 at 7:00 PM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi resolves YES for both possible outcomes (Nebraska wins OR Richmond wins), creating a logical contradiction where the market cannot resolve NO. Polymarket correctly resolves to one of two mutually exclusive outcomes (Richmond Spiders or Nebraska Cornhuskers) based on the game result, with a 50-50 tie-breaker only if the game is canceled entirely.
Hero Tip:
Do not trade on Kalshi's version of this market. Kalshi's resolution rules guarantee a YES outcome regardless of which team wins, making it fundamentally unresolvable as a binary market. Polymarket's market is the only logically sound version — it resolves to exactly one outcome per realistic scenario (Richmond win, Nebraska win, or 50-50 cancellation).
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi:
Outlier: Resolves YES if Nebraska wins AND YES if Richmond wins, creating a logical impossibility where both mutually exclusive outcomes trigger YES. Key quote: 'If Nebraska wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If Richmond wins...then the market resolves to Yes.'
Polymarket:
Resolves to exactly one outcome per scenario: Richmond Spiders if Richmond wins, Nebraska Cornhuskers if Nebraska wins, or 50-50 if the game is canceled with no make-up. Key quote: 'If the Richmond Spiders win, the market will resolve to Richmond Spiders. If the Nebraska Cornhuskers win, the market will resolve to Nebraska Cornhuskers.'
