Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. This can lead to differences in probabilities, particularly when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, as traders react quickly to developments. However, both sources aim to represent the probability of an event occurring, and discrepancies can present opportunities for informed bettors.
