While sportsbooks may set fixed handicaps or over/under totals, prediction markets let traders speculate directly on specific propositions, sometimes producing more volatile or contrarian prices. The dynamics of user participation and rapid information flow can cause shifts not always mirrored by sportsbook adjustments.
