Price differences between Polymarket and Predict often stem from varying user bases, liquidity levels, and trading mechanics. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more soccer-focused traders, skewing its odds toward a specific outcome. Additionally, fee structures and order types can influence how quickly prices adjust to new information, leading to temporary mismatches until both markets reach equilibrium around the same probability range.
Injuries, tactical changes, or early goals during the match can dramatically shift this market. Key moments like a red card or a decisive goal may cause rapid re-pricing as traders reassess probabilities. Additionally, broader narratives — such as home-team pressure or weather impacts — might influence bettors’ expectations and drive volume spikes or probability swings on platforms before the final whistle.
