This event group concerns which team will score the first goal in a soccer match between RC Celta de Vigo and Málaga CF. Resolution depends on identifying the first goalscorer within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, with a 'Neither' option if no goal is scored in that timeframe.
In the upcoming match between RC Celta de Vigo and Málaga CF, scheduled for September 13, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET: This market will resolve to "RC Celta de Vigo" if RC Celta de Vigo are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Málaga CF" if Málaga CF are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and the incentive structure. Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profit, incorporating a margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly bet against each other, theoretically leading to more efficient price discovery. This means prediction markets can sometimes offer more accurate probabilities, reflecting the collective intelligence of informed traders. However, sportsbook odds benefit from established risk management and may react more quickly to breaking news. The current volume of $2,446 suggests growing interest in this market.
Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Prices on Polymarket and Predict can diverge for several reasons, even when tracking the same event. Differences in user base, trading volume (currently $1,663), and platform-specific rules can all contribute to price discrepancies. Polymarket currently favors neither team to score first at a chance of 98%, while Predict leans toward the same outcome. These variations reflect the unique dynamics of each platform’s trading environment and the differing opinions of their respective communities. Furthermore, liquidity constraints on one platform can amplify small shifts in sentiment, leading to noticeable price differences.
