A golfer posts one of the top ten scores during the opening round of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open.
Each market resolves Yes if the specified golfer finishes in the top 10 (including ties) based on score in the 1st round of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open. If a golfer withdraws or forfeits before teeing off, that market resolves to fair market value. If a golfer withdraws or forfeits after teeing off, that market resolves to No. Kalshi is not affiliated with the PGA.
Prediction market odds on Kalshi often diverge from traditional sportsbook odds because they reflect real-time crowd sentiment and continuous trading rather than fixed lines set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks typically adjust odds less frequently and incorporate different risk-management strategies. Prediction markets can be more responsive to breaking news—such as player injuries or weather updates before Round 1—while sportsbooks may lag. Comparing Kalshi prices to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though prediction markets and sportsbooks serve different purposes and may price the same outcome differently.
On Kalshi, the RBC Canadian Open Round 1 Top 10 Finishers market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for each golfer's contract. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each player's contract reflects the probability that they will finish in the top 10 after Round 1, with prices ranging from near 0 to near 100 cents. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before market close, and prices update dynamically based on new information, betting patterns, and tournament developments. The spread between bid and ask prices indicates market liquidity and confidence in each outcome.
The market resolves on Jun 11, 2026, after Round 1 of the RBC Canadian Open concludes and official leaderboard results are confirmed. Resolution is determined by the final standings published by the tournament organizers and verified against official PGA Tour records. Each golfer's contract resolves to 100 if they finish in the top 10 after 18 holes, or to 0 if they finish outside the top 10 or do not complete the round. The outcome is objective and based solely on the published leaderboard at the end of Round 1.
Key catalysts include player injury announcements, course condition updates, and weather forecasts that could affect scoring difficulty. Recent tournament form and practice-round performance often influence odds as the event approaches. Withdrawal announcements or field changes will shift probabilities for remaining competitors. Real-time leaderboard updates during Round 1 will drive significant price movement as players post scores and the top-10 picture becomes clearer. Betting volume surges around major tournaments can amplify volatility. Late-breaking news about player fitness, equipment issues, or caddie changes may also trigger repricing on Kalshi before the market closes.
