If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines due to the decentralized nature of trader-driven pricing. While sportsbooks may set their odds based on broader public betting trends and sharp money, prediction markets let participants bet directly on specific score outcomes, sometimes producing sharper or more volatile prices. Traders on Polymarket set prices based on their own expectations and available information, which can lead to divergence from sportsbook odds, especially as new data emerges closer to Sep 4, 2026.
This market resolves around Sep 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score reported by official match records will determine the winning exact score outcome. As long as the match goes ahead as scheduled and the result is publicly available, the market will close automatically based on that verified score, bringing closure to all positions held.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions, or tactical changes announced by coaches can all shift this market. Any news that affects expected scoring patterns—such as a star striker being ruled out or a weather warning for heavy rain—will likely cause rapid price adjustments. Traders will also watch early game momentum; a fast goal or red card can dramatically reshape the probability of particular exact scores as the match approaches.
